How deep do the needles penetrate?
Morpheus8 penetrates at depths ranging from 0.5 mm to 8 mm, depending on the treatment area and skin concern. Facial treatment depths are no deeper than 4 mm, and body treatment depths vary, but the needles can penetrate up to 7 mm with 1 mm of additional RF energy penetration.
The adjustable depths allow us to treat everything from the thin, delicate skin under the eyes to deeper imperfections, such as stretch marks, cellulite, and fat around the body. The needles must penetrate at least 4 mm to reach the fat layers for fat reduction.

What is the right age to get Morpheus8 treatments?
Morpheus8 benefits patients in their early 30s and beyond. RF microneedling is excellent for reducing pore size, improving rough skin texture, and keeping skin in prime condition to promote confident aging for younger patients, while mature patients benefit from noteworthy improvement in mild-to-moderate signs of aging and skin tone, without going under the knife.
What results can I realistically expect from Morpheus8?
You can expect to see firmer, smoother, and younger-looking skin after 1-3 RF microneedling treatments. Several studies have documented the effects:
- A 2022 study of patients who underwent between one and three RF microneedling treatments reported that participants lost an average of 4.72 cm³ of submental volume under the chin (double chin), with some patients losing as much as 26.65 cm³ of volume along the face and neck.
- A case study measured the effects of RF microneedling on lax skin along the thighs using a scale for key features of cellulite and skin laxity, which classified concerns as mild (1-5), moderate (6-10), and severe (11-15). In the study, the treatment areas improved by 5 points.
- Another study evaluated the results of a series of four RF microneedling treatments on acne scars graded on a scale of 1-4. The study found that 80.64% of patients improved by 2 grades.

When will I see my results?

Does Morpheus8 hurt?
You may experience some discomfort; however, we apply a customized prescription topical numbing cream to keep discomfort to a minimum. Additional sedation is available; however, if you choose IV sedation, for example, you will need someone to drive you home.
